Steam train + rail bike day
Combine steam train and the Ardèche rail bike !
Why not make your day-trip a combination of the Mastrou historical train and the Ardèche rail bike ?
Please note
Our five-seat rail bikes carry two front pedallers + 3 passengers. To be allowed to pedal children must measure over 1.40m and must be accompanied by an adult at the front.
For safety reasons, children weighing under 9kg are not accepted on the rail bikes. For those over this weight our team can adapt a child seat (if available).
Schedule of the day:
10:15 am : departure from T. St Jean de Muzols on the steam train
11:00 am : arrival in Boucieu-le-Roi with enough time to discover the village (old royal bailiwick) and have lunch
1:20 pm : Board the rail bike (the 8-km châtaigniers (chestnut) circuit along the Doux Valley) followed by a short break to rest.
4:15 pm : Return journey on the historic train from Boucieu-le-Roi
5:00 pm : End of the trip, arriving in T. St Jean de Muzols station
Plan to arrive 45 minutes before the train departs.
NB: the operator reserves the right to change the traction mode, or even cancel a departure in case of force majeure. Thank you for your understanding.

In rainy weather, our rail bikes can continue to run so bring suitable clothing with you just in case ! In the event of storm warnings, the rail bike may be cancelled.
Don’t forget to wear suitable shoes, hat/cap and to bring with you suncream and water bottle.
