Mastrou
Le Mastrou is the name given 130 years ago to the historical train going to Lamastre ! Running along the whole 28kms of the line, this journey along the Valley of the river Doux is one to remember. After plunging into the Gorges, the line then opens up to wide scenic views of villages and countryside, chestnut groves and orchards.
Stopping in Boucieu-le-Roi (halfway) the locomotive fills up with water. At the terminus the passengers can see the train turn round on its turntable then spend 3 hours visiting the town of Lamastre and making the most of its many restaurants.
Our luggage van will take your bike aboard so you can finish your journey along the Dolce Via cycling track. The Tourist Office of Ardèche Hermitage tested the experience, click here to discover more about their trip !

Departure from Tournon St Jean at 10:15 (arrival at Lamastre around 12:00)
- Return from Lamastre at 15:15 (arrival at Tournon St Jean around 17:00)
Plan to arrive 30 minutes before the train departure (only our stations have sanitary facilities)
